Each year, students at Highlands elementary participate in 'learning service' within the community. This year, Jana and the 4th grade class became acquainted with the Free Wheel Mission here in Boise.
Marilyn and Her Son Help A.R.C.
Marilyn and her son spend many hours each month helping pets at the Animal Refuge Center (ARC) in her community. Recently, the rains caused massive flooding and the shelter was severely damaged. Marilyn's dedication to the animals and keeping the shelter open was quickly realized as she recruited her son, husband, and other concerned citizens to make a difference.

During the month of March, Marilyn was busy giving back to the community helping the Girl Scout organization. She helped many young ladies sell cookies, managing money, and collecting donations for "Mints for the Military".

GCS is a unique place to work, as our employees are encouraged to take a paid ½ day off each month to work and give back to our local communities. This month Lisa continued her work as a Life Skills instructor at the Women’s & Children’s Alliance (WCA).
