Volunteering with the Preston Historical Society!
Emma spent time in November volunteering with the Preston Historical Society who works to perpetuate the history of the Town of Preston, Connecticut and preserve documents and records of history. The non-profit organization held a trivia night to raise funds for restoration of the Long Society Meetinghouse.

Emma began volunteering at Kitty Harbor, Inc. in Griswold, CT in April. Kitty Harbor is a no-kill non-profit cat sanctuary funded entirely by donations. It provides a loving home for abandoned, unwanted, and abused felines. They reunite found cats with their missing humans and find new homes for the homeless.

Empowering Girls in the Local Community!
Lisa and her daughter worked with leaders at 28thStreet and Wild Hearts to host a fundraiser. Participants had the opportunity to do a team building activity that shed light on elements of privilege in the world and the importance of a mindset of generosity and giving for all. They also got to participate in an exercise class with drumsticks, POUND!
Lending a Helping Hand at Rake Up Boise
Lisa spent time supporting her local community by participating in Rake Up Boise. Rake Up Boise helps seniors and disabled individuals with Fall clean up. Lisa and her daughter worked with several of the Rush soccer team members to help in their local community. The day was beautiful and she enjoyed lending a helping hand.
Telehealth Center!
Jana attended the opening of the St. Luke’s Visual Care Center housing the Telehealth center for the health system. The sophisticated remote patient management system will allow real-time monitoring of patients both in the hospital and at home. The TeleICU (EICU) provides live interactive audio/visual capabilities to manage critical patients and determine the need and timing of patient transfer.
Fundraising for Camp Rainbow Gold!
Jana attended the annual fundraiser for Camp Rainbow Gold held in Sun Valley Idaho. This annual event raises a majority of the funds that allow patients, families, and siblings to attended summer camps and have reprieve from managing an illness. We are so proud to be a part of this incredible organization.
Relay for Life!
Emma spent an afternoon helping out at the American Cancer Society’s Boise Relay for Life on June 23, 2018. She helped check in teams, register new participants, and answer questions about the day’s activities. Participants relayed and took part in activities to remember loved ones lost and honor survivors of all types of cancer.

Lisa spent time volunteering at the Idaho Parents Unlimited Pop-Up Conference in the Zot Artz room assisting children with special health care needs participate in a day filled with art activities. Idaho Parents Unlimited is an organization with a goal to assist families of children with disabilities and special health care needs.
